 Gibsons Recycling Depot was named in the top five best small businesses in BC as part of the Successful You Awards Contest, announced Small Business BC.

A new nation-wide organization Common Causes has formed a coalition with the Idle No More movement and over 80 other organizations as a new national peoples’ network uniting communities, labour, environmental and social justice groups. The organization will launch on Monday, January 28 with coordinated protests across Canada.

shíshálh Nation is Idle No More

The shíshálh Nation gathered with obvious pride and strength on Friday, January 4 in their first Idle No More protest. There was a lot of support from the entire community of the Sunshine Coast. An estimated 450-500 people of all ages attended the rally.

By far and away this year's most read story was the coverage of Sarama's video on Gospel Rock that was denied being shown as his statement during the public hearings. This story and video has received an amazing 15,000 hits since we posted it on October 10.  GR video
